Since our first race in 2017 we have been adding races as we work to grow the sport that has taken the world by storm. Our series has grown from 2 races in Ontario in 2017 to 12 races in 2022, and we continue to look for new and exciting ways to grow the amazing sport of swimrun. With races across Canada from Vancouver B.C. to Sackville N.S. and many locations in between, and with distances ranging from 8.50 K to 20 K our races have something for everyone. So come on out and take on the Mudskipper SwimRun Challenge... you will be glad you did!
At Canaqua Sports, we are very excited about what we have accomplished. We understand that there is a long way to go as we work to bring SwimRun into the mainstream in Canadian Endurance Sports and we look forward to continuing to grow Swimrun across Canada and beyond.

Mudskippers are amphibious fish. There are 32 living species of mudskipper. They are known for their unusual appearance and their ability to survive both in and out of water.
What is a SwimRun? A multi-stage event where participants survive both in and out of the water.
What is a Mudskipper SwimRun - The best event around where participants get to swim and run over a designated distance.
AQUATICRUNNER IWC SOLO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2023
The Mudskipper SwimRun Challenge is proud to have partnered with Aquaticrunner and the world Swimrun federation in sending athletes to the AQUATICRUNNER IWC SOLO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPs, also known as the World Individual SwimRun Championships.
Thanks to our affiliation with Aquaticrunner, we send up to 12 athletes to the world event annually, and in 2022 we were very excited to have our top female, Sarah Hopkins place 5th in the womans division, which is helping to put our Mudskipper events on the world map.
With 4 qualifying events across Canada, in Vancouver B.C. , Kenora On, Parry Sound ON and Summerside PEI, our Canadian team is truly a national team with representation from across the country. We invite all who are interested to join us and race for a spot on the world team!
